Dr. Barman’s interest in medicine began at an early age studying first aid while earning his Eagle Scout honor and completing certification as a rescue scuba diver. He then sought to apply science and technology to healing while studying biomedical engineering at the University of Illinois before deciding to attend medical school. After earning his medical doctorate, Dr. Barman completed Internal Medicine training at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern while participating in cancer research. He then studied Hematology and Oncology at one the nation’s premier training institutions, Washington University in St. Louis. While training at this distinguished National Comprehensive Cancer Network institute, he was able to learn directly from world renowned leaders at the forefront of hematology and oncology. Dr. Barman is triple board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine and brings his knowledge and passion for treatment of cancer and blood disorders to Southeast Michigan.

Dr. Barman is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology as well as the American Society of Hematology.
